Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide:

• Assist the cook in the preparation and service of food and beverages

• Coordinate daily dietary services with the nursing staff

• Set up trays and serve food cafeteria style

• Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal Food Sanitation Codes

• Ensure that work area is consistently clean and safe

Requirements

of the Dietary Aide:

• Illinois Food Sanitation Certification (or ability to attain this upon hire)

• Some experience in a food preparation environment a plus

• Must be able to understand, speak and write English

• Good verbal communication skills

• Compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
