About the Role

Description

Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join the warehouse team at our Kent, WA Branch location. This person would be responsible for safely and accurately receiving and storing materials, processing incoming and outgoing shipments and/or delivering complete and on-time orders to our customers.


Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. There is no relocation assistance available.

Basic Duties:

  • Safely pull customer orders throughout the day while documenting each step
  • Ensure that a quality check is performed on all incoming and outgoing material
  • Inspect items for quality and quantity and for any evidence of damage
  • Use a forklift to transport material from its storage location to the staging area
  • Wrap, box and palletize material for stock or customer orders
  • Place destination information on packed material and appropriate paperwork
  • Properly document your actions on sales orders, purchase orders and transfers
  • Maintain a clean working area by organizing material on shelves and keeping floors swept
  • Work cooperatively with warehouse staff to ensure that delivery deadlines are met
  • Comfortably lifting all day up to 70 pounds of material into a cart or onto a pallet
  • Work outside in all types of weather conditions


Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Previous job experience working within a warehouse
  • Basic understanding of commercial and industrial pipe, valves and fittings
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Positive Attitude
  • Ability to multi-task

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Pass Background Check
