Trim Technician

General Summary 

The Trimmer must be able to assure the greatest possible quality of product & appearance. In this role you will work to efficiently trim cannabis plants, while creating minimal waste, resulting in a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for processing. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining and following strict cannabis cultivation procedures.   

Essential Job Functions

• Trim 2 lbs. of flower in an 8-hour shift 

• Able to meet the minimum standard of 907 grams per day, this requirement must be met on a weekly average  

• Ability to avoid shaving, crow’s feet, and visible stems with clean cuts of the bud 

• Manage floor bud for waste 

• Able to follow strict trim room protocols, including proper uniform care 

• Able to follow cleaning processes for end of day, including wipe down your table, sweep your area, put tools away to designated area, pick up trash, and tidy work space 

• Expected to wear proper protective gear such as face masks, hair nets, gloves, scrubs, and beard guards if necessary.  

• Follow strict biosecurity protocols, maintain sanitation of tools and person 

• Provide any help to the Trim Department to keep an organized and steady work flow.

Minimum Job Qualifications 

• Detailed oriented 

• Hand dexterity 

• Experience in the cannabis industry preferred 

• Fast repetitive hand movements 

• Communication proficiency 

• Flexibility  

• Must be at least 21 years of age  

Physical Requirements 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for Trim Department 

• The job requires the employee to work with cannabis which is a plant that contains certain allergens that can cause an allergic reaction in persons who are sensitive to the plant matter 

• The job requires the employee to work with cannabis which is a plant that contains pollens and certain allergens that can cause an allergic reaction in persons who are sensitive to the pollens and plant matter 

• Ability to carry boxes, products, and other necessary store related items 

• Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, maintain all areas of business including back stockroom, employee lunchroom, restrooms 

• Ability to safely lift boxes up to 35 lbs. 

• Comfortable climbing ladders 

Expected hours of work 

• This is a full-time or part-time position  

• Weekends and Holidays are expected to be worked  

• Typical workdays and hours are between Monday through Friday, 5:30am - 2:00pm 

• Schedules are subject to change
