About the Role

Bank of Jordan, a prestigious financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Networking Engineer to join our team. As a Networking Engineer at Bank of Jordan, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the bank's network infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.

At Bank of Jordan, we recognize the importance of a strong and resilient network infrastructure in supporting our operations and delivering exceptional service to our customers. As a Networking Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the bank's network stability, optimizing network performance, and implementing effective network security measures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made, and troubleshoot problems and outages.
  • Collaborates with network architects on network optimization.
  • Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the Bank security team.
  • Determine network bandwidth needs and recommend measures to meet those requirements.
  • Design efforts including the generation of documentation and deliverables that support the life cycle of the supported networks.
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject.
  • Fortinet certification preferred. 
  • LAN and WAN experience.
  • Network security experience.
  • Good command of English language.
  • Negotiation and Persuasion skills.
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication.
  • Organizing and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • knowledge in banking industry and other different market Industries.
  • Good Computer skills and good command of MS Office.
