 The Team:

Our APAC Client Coverage team, part of the APAC Commercial Group, is central to expanding S&P Dow Jones Indices' commercial footprint by licensing index data and intellectual property across the region. This team cultivates strong relationships with investment banks, asset managers, and other key market participants, providing world-renowned indices, research, and commentary to meet their evolving needs and contribute to our high-performance culture of client-centrism and innovation. 

Responsibilities and Impact:

 Drive new business and achieve annual revenue targets by strategically managing a territory and client segments.

 Actively prospect for new clients and expand commercial footprint within existing relationships, identifying key decision-makers to grow licensing opportunities.

 Generate revenue through consultative sales of index licensing for investment product issuance, data sales for internal use/redistribution, and custom index calculation services.

 Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., legal, product management, research) to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet complex client needs and ensure compliance with licensed terms.

 Enhance awareness of S&P DJI’s brand and product offerings, fostering deeper client engagement and expanding contact points across all levels of client organizations.

 All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

 5+ years of experience in a revenue generation role within investment product and market data sales, equity/index structuring, or a related field.

 Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

 Proven experience navigating long sales cycles, complex contract negotiations, and intellectual property sales.

 Strong client communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

 We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

 CFA designation or relevant industry certifications; existing network within APAC investment banks, asset managers, or proprietary trading firms.

 Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.

 Actively listens to others to understand their perspectives and responds in an appropriate and empathetic manner, fostering strong client relationships.

 Communicates effectively, expressing their own thoughts and ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences and senior stakeholders.
