Description

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Assembly Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

ASSEMBLER – Performs functions associated with the assembly of Fifth Wheels and Stationary Mounts.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include one or all, but are not limited to:

a) Assembly of fifth wheels and stationary mounts.

b) Grinding

c) Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.

d) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: 

a) One year of assembly experience, hard (working with metals) assembly preferred

b) Ability to work with hand tools and mechanical tools both small and large, and various equipment accurately and safely.

c) Detail oriented

d) Ability to read and write legible for inventory counts and labeling.

e) Ability to work and communicate accurately with solid factual information.

f) Must be an effective team member with fellow employees and follow direction from area lead and supervision.

g) Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time.

b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
