Temporary General Labor

Description

 We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking General Laborers for a special 4-week warehouse organization and cleanup project. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical work, capable of following safety protocols, and ready to jump in and assist with clearing out a large facility. 

  Key Responsibilities: 

• Warehouse Cleaning: Perform general cleanup of the warehouse floor, including sweeping, dusting, and removing debris to ensure a safe working environment.
• Trash Removal: Walk the facility to pick up loose trash, bag waste, and transport full bags to designated dumpsters or disposal areas.
• Furniture Removal & Disassembly: Move office furniture (desks, chairs, filing cabinets) to designated staging areas. Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, wrenches) to disassemble furniture and shelving units for disposal or storage.
• Pallet Handling: Manually lift, move, and stack wooden pallets. Sort damaged pallets from reusable ones.
• Material Handling: Load and unload materials into trucks or waste containers as directed by the site supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the majority of the shift.
• Lifting Ability: Ability to consistently lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and team-lift heavier items like furniture.
• Tool Experience: Basic familiarity with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, drills) required for disassembling furniture.
• Reliability: Must be punctual and available to work the full duration of the 4-week project.
• Safety Gear: Must have (or be willing to wear) steel-toed boots and other required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety vests.
• Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
