Description

Immaculate Conception School seeks a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Middle School Science and STREAM Teacher to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. This position is responsible for delivering engaging middle school science instruction while integrating STREAM principles Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics in ways that support student growth and academic excellence.

Requirements

 Job Requirements

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate middle school science instruction aligned with diocesan, state, and school curriculum standards
• Design and implement STREAM lessons and projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, religion, art, and mathematics
• Create a classroom environment that fosters inquiry, collaboration, creativity, and responsible problem solving
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, including hands on experiments, project based learning, and technology enhanced instruction
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and families
• Maintain accurate grade records and communicate student progress in accordance with school policies
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and support staff to support student learning and school initiatives
• Support school wide STREAM initiatives, events, and interdisciplinary projects
• Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom and laboratory environment
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and required school and diocesan activities
• Model professional, ethical, and Christ centered behavior at all time

Qualifications

• Experience teaching middle school science and or STREAM preferred
• Strong understanding of inquiry based and project-based learning
• Commitment to supporting the mission of Immaculate Conception School
• Bachelor's degree in science, education, or a related field required
• Teaching certification or ability to obtain certification preferred
