Description
The Loadmaster Instructor delivers classroom, simulator, and hands-on training for C-5 loadmasters, focusing on safe and effective cargo operations, airdrop, and emergency procedures.
Essential Functions of the Position: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required for a C-5 Loadmaster Instructor. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Provide academic and practical instruction on C-5 loadmaster duties, including cargo loading, restraint, weight and balance, and airdrop operations
• Operate Cargo Load Trainers, Fuselage Trainers, and other training devices as required
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and complete required training documentation
• Support development and improvement of training materials, safety practices, and instructional techniques
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
The following are the requisite education and/or experience required to qualify for the position as a C-5 Loadmaster Instructor.
• Previous qualified as a C-5 Instructor Loadmaster.
• Flight experience: o 1,000 C-5 flight hours, or o 500 C-5 flight hours and 1,200 total flight hours (TFT) in mobility aircraft.
• Minimum of 200 C-5 loadmaster instructor hours.
• Associates degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
