About the Role
We are looking for an English teacher for a university in Chongqing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in March 2026.
Job details
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to university students, following the school's established English curriculum and academic objectives
- Teach a total of 14–18 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no office hours required
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with course requirements and student levels
- Foster a positive and immersive English learning environment that encourages student participation, confidence, and language development
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, presentations, and exams, and provide constructive feedback to support their improvement
- Participate in occasional department meetings, student activities, or cultural exchange events if needed
- Support students’ academic growth by offering guidance on English usage in academic and real-world contexts
- Bachelor Degree or above
- Excellent English communicative skills
- Hold a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA teaching certificate
- Related working experience preferred
Salary and benefits
- Monthly Salary of 10,000 to 13,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Monthly salary varies according to academic qualification and position which can be negotiated in person
