Job Description

  • Work as part of a cross functional team to help and lead the development of new features
  • Show off your code review, debugging and refactoring skills, taking advantage of every opportunity to make the codebase better
  • Contribute to application improvement & optimization (through code audits, refactoring, caching, architecture changes).
  • Write DRY code while using various best practices
  • Help define requirements for new features and assist with Sprint planning 
  • Work with business stakeholders in shaping, estimating and planning new requirements
  • Participate in regular showcases of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders
  • Strive for continuous improvement within the team
  • Mentor more junior members of the team
  • Passionate about building and optimizing performance
  • Ability to work in an Agile and high-paced environment
  • Happy to take technical leadership on project work
  • Work closely with the product team

Qualifications

  • BSc in computer science or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • Expert on PHP or Nodejs
  • PHP proficiency in large, scalable web applications
  • Experience with PHP frameworks ( Laravel, Symfony etc.).
  • Understanding of version control systems such as GIT.
  • Experience with Agile development and JIRA.
  • Basic understanding of Unix commands and environments.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
