This role entails delivering high-quality surgical care to cancer patients, involving both innovative surgical techniques and compassionate patient management.
As a Consultant/Specialist Surgical Oncologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing cancer, developing and implementing treatment plans, and conducting complex surgical procedures. You will work alongside a team of dedicated oncology professionals, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care throughout their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine appropriate surgical interventions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to inform treatment decisions.
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures to treat various cancers, focusing on minimally invasive techniques when possible.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, monitoring patient recovery and addressing complications.
- Engage in case discussions in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to evaluate treatment paths.
- Participate in continuing medical education and contribute to clinical research projects.
- Medical degree with specialization in Surgical Oncology.
- Current and valid medical license to practice as a Consultant/Specialist Surgical Oncologist.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in surgical oncology or a similar field.
