Per Diem Position (Mon - Fri)

Provide monitoring and caring for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort during the recovery phase in our acute care setting. 

Qualifications


  • Continuously observe and assess patients' vital signs, consciousness levels, and pain management needs as they recover from anesthesia.

  • Administer prescribed medications, particularly pain relief, and manage any side effects or complications that may arise post-surgery.

  • Recognize and respond to any complications, providing immediate care as necessary, including airway management and cardiac support.

  • Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, including discharge instructions and potential complications to watch for at home.

  • Work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and recovery plans are followed. Maintain accurate records of patient progress, interventions, and any changes in condition to ensure continuity of care.
