DevOps Tech Lead

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a DevOps Tech Lead to take a central role in shaping and evolving the infrastructure behind our platform.

This is a hands-on position for someone who naturally drives technical direction, raises engineering standards, and brings clarity to complex systems. You’ll work across infrastructure, automation, reliability, and developer experience, partnering closely with backend, security, and product teams to design and operate secure, scalable, and highly observable systems.

What you’ll do

• Shape and guide the evolution of our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Design and guide the implementation of CI/CD systems that enable fast, safe, and reliable delivery.
• Drive improvements in engineering efficiency through automation, internal tooling, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Set technical direction and best practices across DevOps and platform-related domains.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineers to improve system design, reliability, and developer experience (DevEx).
• Lead the design and re-architecture of services with scalability, performance, and security in mind.
• Establish and continuously improve observability standards (monitoring, logging, alerting with Datadog).
• Ensure production systems are resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient.
• Partner with DevSecOps to integrate security as a natural part of the development lifecycle.
• Own and drive incident response and prevention, focusing on long-term fixes and systemic improvements.
• Mentor a team of DevOps engineers, supporting their professional growth and day-to-day work.
• Own the DevOps team’s roadmap and quarterly priorities, collaborating closely with engineering leadership to align delivery with company goals.

Requirements

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in DevOps / Platform / SRE roles, with a track record of owning complex systems.
• Strong experience designing and operating production systems on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise with Terraform and infrastructure design at scale.
• Proven experience building and evolving CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
• Strong coding skills in Go and/or Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and scalability tradeoffs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions and drive alignment across engineering teams.
• A pragmatic, systems-thinking mindset and strong communication skills.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers (formal or informal tech lead / team lead experience).

• Experience with Temporal.
• Experience supporting on-prem or hybrid environments.
• Experience with cost optimization and autoscaling strategies.
• Background working closely with security teams or building security-aware infrastructure.
