About the Role
Description
Summary
The Radiologic Technologist - DEXA Technologist performs bone density and radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician. Radiology Technologist candidates with minimal or no DEXA experience are welcome to apply. On-the-job training and cross-training opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiology procedures and bone density in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
- Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
- Maintains documentation of patient testing information
- Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
- Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area
- Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Candidates with minimal or no DEXA experience are welcome to apply. On-the-job training and cross-training opportunities are available.
- Previous Bone Density experience preferred.
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others.
- Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning.
