About the Role

Description

 The Forklift Operator for the Engines & Transmissions (E&T) area at Schnellecke Logistics Alabama is responsible for efficiently coordinating the movement and inventory of products while maintaining high service quality for the client. The role requires strict adherence to all safety principles, standard work procedures, and company rules. Key responsibilities include completing inventory counts, unloading containers and reloading empty racks, replenishing workstations, and following stack-height guidelines. The operator must understand the full workflow of the E&T cell and maintain effective communication with team leaders regarding needs, issues, or concerns. This position interacts regularly with the Operations Manager, Group Leader, and Team Leader and requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods. Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of forklift operation in a warehouse environment.

Training & Certifications

  • Completion of company-required training and certification for forklift/MHE operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods.

Competencies

  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to improve processes and, if needed, train others.
  • Advanced or expert-level knowledge of forklift operations is a plus.

Equipment Proficiency

  • Operation of forklifts.
  • Use of scanners or similar inventory tools.
