About the Role

Description

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director for a permanent leadership opportunity in Alexandria, Louisiana.


The Laboratory Director is responsible for the planning, coordination, and overall management of Laboratory Services, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology. This role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and administrative direction to ensure high-quality laboratory services, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.


The Director leads laboratory teams by setting clear expectations, supporting professional development, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This position collaborates closely with hospital leadership, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.


COMPENSATION:

Hourly Pay Range (Based on Experience):

$47.10/hour

$58.88/hour

$70.66/hour

Requirements

  • Recent acute care laboratory supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • State Medical Technologist license required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited program in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple laboratory disciplines and staff.
