About the Role

Description

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced RN Manager for a permanent Surgical Services leadership opportunity in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.


Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, the Manager oversees the Clinical Coordinators and supports the overall operation of the Operating Room. The Manager works collaboratively with Clinical Coordinators to guide departmental growth, patient satisfaction, physician relations, and fiscal responsibility. This role supervises and directs the delivery of patient care and care-related services for the Operating Room in accordance with administrative policies, hospital vision, mission, and strategic objectives. The Manager collaborates closely with staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care.


Job responsibilities include maintaining clinical knowledge within the department, managing day-to-day operations such as scheduling, patient rounding, and patient satisfaction initiatives, assisting the educator with staff competency development, supporting Clinical Coordinators with admission and discharge coordination, interviewing and hiring personnel, assessing and evaluating employee performance, implementing learning plans, completing annual evaluations, counseling staff, administering disciplinary processes when indicated, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional nursing standards, evaluating patient outcomes, and assisting the Surgical Services Director with unit budgeting.


Compensation for this role is based on experience and ranges from $47.30 to $65.20 per hour.


Requirements

  • Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • 1–3 years of RN Operating Room experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Will consider a strong RN Operating Room Charge Nurse.
