Springfield Hospital is a not-for-profit, critical access hospital located in Springfield, VT. Springfield Hospital serves communities in Windsor, Windham and portions of Bennington counties, Vermont and parts of Sullivan and Cheshire counties in New Hampshire.
We offer inpatient and outpatient care, 24-hour emergency care, adult day care, and a broad array of special care services. A comprehensive program of inpatient mental health services is offered at The Windham Center in Bellows Falls, VT.
We work collaboratively with Springfield Medical Care Systems, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing a range of services including primary and pediatric care, dental, behavioral health, eye care, lifestyle medicine, Walk-In Care, care coordination, nutrition counseling, diabetes education, a Community Health Team and a range of wellness programs.
About the Role
Description
The Pharmacy Technician I will:
- Be responsible for sterile compounding and automated inventory maintenance (ie., Pyxis).
- Be responsible for performing general technician functions as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
- Drive a hospital vehicle as a function of their role.
- Demonstrate a positive team attitude, and a willingness to perform general department functions as assigned by Director of Pharmacy
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- State of Vermont Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification within twelve (12) months of hire
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (preferred)
- Sterile compounding experience (preferred)
Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
