Recycling Services of Florida currently services the Clearwater/Tampa market, as well as Orlando, Polk, Naples, Fort Pierce and surrounding markets. RSF operates MRF’s (Material Recovery Facilities) with Frontload and Roll-Off trucks servicing recycling containers at churches, schools, non-profits, municpalities and commercial businesses. We also operate Flatbed, Box Truck and Trailer service for large scale commercial customers. We can provide a variety of equipment options in the form of renting, leasing or outright selling. From a compactor up to a large scale baling or shredding system, we can come up with a solution for your needs while staying within budget and making economical sense. Now Hiring: Diesel Mechanic/Technician – Join Our Team at Recycling Services of Florida!


Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking to work with a company that values your expertise and provides room to grow? Recycling Services of Florida is expanding our team and looking for a motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our service department.

What You’ll Do:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Pick up parts from local vendors and transport tools as needed
  • Assist with welding and fabrication tasks
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and reliable
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, following safety protocols
  • Contribute to the improvement of service processes and documentation

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior experience as a diesel mechanic/technician required
  • License: Valid driver’s license (CDL A preferred)
  • Tools: Must have your own tools
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to lift 50+ lbs, welding/fabrication a plus
  • Attitude: Team player, reliable, detail-oriented, safety-first mindset
  • Environment: Able to work in a non-climate-controlled setting with weekend/overtime availability

Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks and diesel equipment
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge
  • Valid Drivers License
