Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our central business team to help manage various queries and further help implement efficiencies across the different business functions. Reporting to the Associate Director, Investor Operations, a list of your responsibilities will include:
· Provide high-quality support to the team & Junior Associate Director by accurately inputting and handling daily investor and client tasks, in accordance with company and department policies for investor registration, trade processing, reporting, and cash management.
· Assist in inputting and reconciling trade activities, ensuring timely processing of investor subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches, while helping to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
· Support the end-to-end processing of dividends and distributions, guaranteeing correct allocation and prompt payment to investors in compliance with fund documentation and regulatory requirements.
· Help input and manage investor reports, including preparing and sending Trade Acknowledgements, Contract Notes, Dividend Confirmations, Periodic Statements, and Ad-Hoc Reports, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and clarity.
· Assist with all aspects of cash processing: initiate, verify, and reconcile investor payments and receipts, and perform daily cash payment reconciliations to ensure robust financial controls are maintained.
· Act promptly when escalation is required upwards to Junior Associate Director & above.
· Monitor and manage workflow queues using the internal Workflows Tool, prioritize and resolve outstanding items quickly, and escalate issues or bottlenecks to the Junior Associate Director to uphold excellent service standards.
· Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from clients, investors, fund managers, and internal teams, focusing on client needs and resolving issues efficiently and discreetly, including complex or sensitive cases, in support of the Junior Associate Director.
· Contribute to departmental initiatives, projects, and risk mitigation activities by providing accurate inputs and sharing insights to improve operational effectiveness, under the guidance of the Junior Associate Director.
· Participate actively in team meetings, share information and best practices, and encourage open communication and collaboration to help foster a positive team culture.
· Consistently uphold and promote MUFG’s core values—Trust, Challenge & Empowerment, Passion for Clients, Openness, and Honesty—in every task and interaction, while supporting the Junior Associate Director’s leadership.
· Assist in training team members by sharing expertise, offering guidance, and helping new or junior colleagues understand processes and best practices to enhance overall team capability.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a business related field preferred or relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience in financial services, fund administration, asset management, banking or client service
- Knowledge of Investor Services processes and related functionalities an asset
- Existing client/customer service experience would be ideal
- Computer skills with strengths in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel would be an asset.
