Facilities Maintenance Technician

Summary/Objective
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned facilities including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, and other building systems; snow removal and other seasonally appropriate actions. During April to October, weekend work is expected.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Seasonal supervision of a small team assigned to support summer tourism. You may work in an independent capacity, being personally responsible to the Maintenance Director for the status of assigned lodging properties, which are essential to accomplishing the Foundation’s missions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Diagnose issues and determine appropriate repair solutions in a timely manner.
- Plan, prioritize, and complete repair work efficiently and safely.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs within skill level, including drywall repair, painting, door and lock repairs, and other building fixtures.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on building systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Director to schedule and oversee contracted repair services.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist with the overall upkeep and appearance of facilities and surrounding areas.
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies and materials in accordance with budget guidelines.
- Perform seasonal maintenance tasks, including irrigation system support and snow/ice removal.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for mechanical systems within the assigned lodging property.
- Perform swimming pool maintenance, including routine cleaning, monitoring, and basic upkeep.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions from the Maintenance Director.
- Knowledge and skill to make general repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Proficient with Maintenance Ticketing Systems (MaintainX or similar)
- Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repair.
- Ability to weld is desirable.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- CDL is desirable.
- HVAC certification is desirable.
- Must have or ability to obtain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification.
Work Environment
This position operates in a number of TRMF businesses including hotels, motels, and campground. Depending on workload, the successful candidate may also operate in offices, employee housing, retail establishments, entertainment venues. The position also requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required from April through October. On Call shifts as assigned by the Maintenance Director.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary seasonally from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to include evening and weekend shifts in our peak season, this position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
