About the Role

Description

The qualified candidate will be able to work independently and in a group setting, will be able to engineer a project in its entirety (with input from other engineers within the company as needed), research, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and be directly involved in fabrication of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Designs products or systems such as rugged enclosures, chassis and LCD housings with proper, thermal or heat transfer.
  • Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Solidworks
  • Proficient in PDM
  • Able to use document control system
  • Precision sheet metal and CNC milling design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EMI/EMC design guidelines
  • Experience with injection molding
  • Experience with FEA and CFD

Education Requirements:

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of experience related to packaging of electronic equipment/systems

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this role is $80k to $120K annually. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including, but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, education, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the job across the U.S.
