Job Description
To support our client activities which cover the Heater-HPR (High Pressure Regulator) design, development, and testing up to the equipment TRL 6 test on an EM model you will have the following responsibilities :
- Provide technical knowhow and consultancy in propulsion to project teams responsible for spacecraft development.
- Enhance support for propulsion subsystem activities utilizing Hall thruster-based propulsion technology and its critical components.
- Perform propulsion sub-system level analysis to provide inputs to system budgets.
- Prepare technical documentation to support the propulsion subsystem development, testing, and the associated project reviews
- Provide support in developing propulsion sub-system and equipment, including design and testing
- Provide support for supplier management, including requirements management, progress monitoring, and supporting project-related reviews.
- Identify critical development challenges and assist in their resolution.
- Regularly report to the Head of Propulsion and Lead Propulsion Engineer.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Plasma Physics required along with
relevant experience; a PhD in a related field is a strong asset - Strong background and specific experience in propulsion.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles as they relate to fluid
systems. - Prior experience in propulsion sub-systems and propulsion equipment
development and qualification. - Experience with propulsion sub-system level analysis (e.g. gauging, cleanliness,
contamination, etc.) and their methodologies - Prior experience in propulsion subsystem and equipment testing for R&D and
qualification purposes - In-depth understanding of relevant technologies for this position
Preferential Skills: - Familiarity with space engineering standards (ECSS, ANSI-AIAA, etc.), including
preparation and implementation. - Proficiency in fluidic system design.
- Experience with EcosimPRO and SPIS.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and validating tools and methods relevant to the
field. - Background in institutional projects.
- Proficiency in English
