Product Designer

Visalaw AI is a technology company building AI-powered tools to modernize and streamline the practice of immigration law. Our platform helps legal teams work more efficiently by simplifying complex workflows, improving data visibility, and reducing manual effort.

We work closely with law firms and legal professionals to design software that is practical, intuitive, and built for real-world use.

• Visalaw AI is seeking a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help shape both our core product experience and customer-facing brand. This can be part-time or contract role, with the potential to transition to a full-time position within the next 6 months, depending on performance and company needs.
  
• This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys working across product UI/UX and marketing design and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment. You will work on complex, workflow-heavy legal software where clarity, usability, and trust are critical.
• You will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing stakeholders.

• Translate product and business requirements into user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma
  
• Own and improve the end-to-end user experience across Visalaw AI’s platform, with a focus on usability, clarity, and consistency
  
• Design intuitive, polished UI for workflow-heavy SaaS features and dashboards
  
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure effective design-to-development handoff
  
• Contribute to and help maintain design systems, component libraries, and UI standards
  
• Review existing workflows and interfaces to identify UX issues and recommend improvements
  
• Support marketing and growth initiatives through design work on website updates, marketing and sales assets, product and brand collateral, and email design and templating (using ESPs and/or code)
  
• Manage multiple workstreams while maintaining a high bar for quality and consistency
  
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines across both product and marketing surfaces
  
• Proactively ask smart questions, challenge assumptions, and contribute new ideas

• 3+ years of UI/UX or product design experience across production web applications, SaaS products, or marketing websites.
  
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, visual design, and end-to-end problem solving
  
• Portfolio includes examples of complex product or workflow design (not only marketing or visual work)
  
• High proficiency with Figma
  
• Strong UI skills with excellent attention to detail and visual polish
  
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing teams
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a startup or agency-style environment
