This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the financial services industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering value to advisors. You will lead a group of cross-functional engineers and designers, ensuring our product offerings align with our mission and business goals.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Product Execution and Delivery:</strong> <ul> <li>Drive the execution of product initiatives from conception to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.</li> <li>Lead a group of cross-functional engineers and designers to develop tools and platforms that enhance advisor efficiency and effectiveness.</li> <li>Work with third-party service providers and influence their roadmaps to align with Mercer Advisors' goals.</li> <li>Utilize data-driven insights to improve product performance and advisor satisfaction continuously.</li> <li>Be ultimately responsible for the outcome and KPIs of the products you build.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Advisor-Centric Development:</strong> <ul> <li>Gather and prioritize requirements from financial advisory team to inform product development.</li> <li>Prepare written requirements for each development sprint based on design, users, and engineers’ input for each feature.</li> <li>Conduct user testing and gather feedback to ensure products meet the needs of advisors.</li> <li>Integrate advisor feedback into product iterations to enhance usability and functionality.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Operational Insight and Improvement:</strong> <ul> <li>Dive into the details of our operations and processes to find technology-powered solutions for improvements.</li> <li>Identify opportunities for small and significant enhancements to our business processes through technology.</li> <li>Influence and assist in maintaining software development lifecycle to ensure the Product Team is operating at peak efficiency.</li> <li>Consistently engage in measuring the health and performance of our products and features to provide insights to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement within our team.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Leverage AI:</strong> <ul> <li>Integrate AI capabilities into advisor workflows to drive growth.</li> <li>Use data and machine learning to drive recommendation.</li> <li>Leverage AI to make yourself and your team more effective at building.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Collaboration:</strong> <ul> <li>Act as a liaison between advisors, internal stakeholders, and external partners.</li> <li>Communicate product updates, insights, and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.</li> <li>Ensure alignment of product goals with business objectives and advisor needs.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Team Leadership and Culture: </strong> <ul> <li>Mentor and guide junior product managers and team members.</li> <li>Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.</li> <li>Bring a data-driven mindset and culture to our team, ensuring decisions are based on robust analytics and metrics.</li> <li>Ensure that the product team adheres to best practices and industry standards.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years in product management, ideally in financial services, wealth management, or B2B SaaS</li> <li>Track record of shipping products that integrate with existing systems and workflows.</li> <li>Experience in managing simultaneous complex projects from inception to successful completion.</li> <li>Strong ability to translate complex business processes into clear product requirements.</li> <li>Comfort with AI concepts and how to apply them to user-facing products.</li> <li>Experience with building, managing &amp; maintaining APIs.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li> <li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to drive product execution and delivery.</li> <li>Bias toward action while delivering great products.</li> <li>Comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities.</li> <li>User-obsessed—you start with advisor pain points and work backwards.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why Join Us</strong></p> <p>You'll work on a high-visibility initiative on the forefront of our approach to client engagement.
