We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Digital Operations to join our operations team in the Machine Data Platform. As a Summer Trainee you will be working with databases related to predictive maintentance and operational performance, edge computing software and crane automation, CI/CD pipeline support and administration, cybersecurity compliance and improvements and AI driven monitoring and solutions. You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperative skills and network with the best talents of your industry. The job is located in Hyvinkää with the possibility to work part time in Espoo and remotely.

What kind of talent are we looking for?

This role is ideal for a Computer Science or Engineering student who is eager to learn more about IoT and Digital service tasks. We welcome you to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your proactiveness, ability to think outside the box and create innovative solutions to complex problems, ability to work independently and deliver on results.  Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and enthusiasm to work in an international work environment are important.

Requirements:

• Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering or similar (preferably in the 3rd – 4th  year of studies)
• Experience with industrial computer systems, Windows and/or Linux servers and/or embedded systems
• Computer networking and/or telecommunications skills
• Knowledge of diagnostics and/or testing systems
• Electronics expertise
• Prior experience in automation systems, such as Step7, incident management, knowledge management, SQL/Athena/DynamoDB, bash scripting, AWS cloud applications or cybersecurity is a very welcome asset
• Prior work experience as an operations engineer, testing engineer, or work in a customer centric role is also an advantage
• Please be prepared to provide concrete examples of your usage as well as examples of any similar tools or skills that may be similarly applicable.
