Responsibilities: 


     Manager Duties  

  • Oversees nursing staff in their day-to-day assignments in collaboration with supervisor(s) and team lead(s) 
  • Creates training plan(s) for new employees 
  • Plans continued education of nursing staff when required 
  • Collaborates with the Quality/Compliance leader for MACRA/MIPS to ensure that quality measures are met 
  • Strategically plan for effective workflow according to patient volume in a manner that maintains high quality of care and balanced staff workload 
  • Reviews employee’s work for quality; provides positive and/or constructive feedback  
  • Counsels employees on behavior and initiates disciplinary actions.  
  • Procures and allocates resources to the nursing team 
  • Makes hiring decisions, promotions, and dismissals with the collaboration of the director(s) and CEO 
  • Identified and develops team members for internal growth opportunities 
  • Acts as a liaison, with effective and respectful communication, between nursing staff and all other departments 
  • Acts as a liaison for practice clinical needs to leadership meetings/discussions 

     Nursing Care Responsibilities 

  • Clinical subject matter expert in cardiology and cardiac patient care 
  • Maintains ability to fill in as needed in all nursing areas involving their direct reports 
  • Well versed in available resources and how to utilize them for staffing and patient needs 
  • Competent in skills required to de-escalate patients with composure, compassion, and professionalism.  

Requirements

 

Education and Qualifications 

  • Holds/maintains active LPN or RN license in Georgia, or active Certification in Medical Assisting  
  • Holds/maintains active BLS certification 
  • If RN, holds/maintains active ACLS certification   

Job knowledge, skills, and abilities  

  • Clinical cardiac knowledge and patient care experience 
  • Education of clinical and non-clinical staff or patients experience 
  • Familiar with coordinating patient care and tasks between multiple departments 
  • Highly competent with EMR(s) and will learn how to troubleshoot for staff.
