Position Overview:


As part of the Open Road Collision group DBA Allard Collision, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality collision repair services with exceptional customer care. Our team is dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition while making the repair process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers. We are seeking a skilled Automotive Calibration Technician specializing in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration post-collision repair. 


The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that ADAS-equipped vehicles are accurately calibrated to the manufacturer’s specifications, providing safety and functionality to drivers. You will work closely with collision repair teams, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to perform precise calibrations on sensors, cameras, radar systems, and other ADAS components.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ADAS calibration services on vehicles post-collision, ensuring that radar, camera, and sensor systems meet OEM standards.
  • Use diagnostic tools, alignment equipment, and manufacturer-specific software to perform calibrations.
  • Collaborate with body shop technicians and service advisors to ensure vehicles are ready for recalibration after collision repairs.
  • Conduct static and dynamic calibrations on ADAS technologies, including lane-keeping systems, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and other related features.
  • Interpret diagnostic reports and troubleshoot issues to resolve any ADAS system malfunctions or misalignments.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving ADAS technologies and manufacturer calibration procedures.
  • Document calibration results and provide detailed reports to service advisors, insurance companies, and customers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required; Automotive Technology Certification or similar preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in automotive diagnostics, ADAS calibration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using ADAS calibration equipment such as alignment systems, scan tools, and OEM-specific software.
  • Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics, sensors, and computer systems.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety systems and how they function in relation to collision repairs.
  • Ability to follow detailed manufacturer calibration procedures and instructions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring vehicle safety standards.
  • ASE Certification in related fields such as Electrical/Electronic Systems or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
  • Experience working in a collision repair shop or automotive service center
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoors or in repair shops.
