About the Role
Description
Travel CNA – Long Term Care (LTC)
Hourly: $23.00 hourly OR LOCAL 50 MILES PLUS
HOUSING & CAR INCLUDED
Location: Valdez, Alaska (99686)
Facility: Providence Health & Services – MSP
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP (as early as 02/02/2026)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Long Term Care (LTC) facility in Valdez, AK. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a close-knit, scenic Alaskan community with housing and transportation provided.
Schedule
- Shift Options:
- Day Shift: 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Night Shift: 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Day Shift: 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Variable Shift Assignment (Days or Nights based on facility needs; no routine rotation)
Requirements
- CNA License:
- Alaska CNA license in hand or pending (must have already applied)
- If pending AK license, candidate must also provide:
- Active CNA license from another state
- Proof of completion of a formal CNA training program
- Documentation of AK license application (fee paid, fingerprints, education verification, license verification submitted)
- Active CNA license from another state

- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year CNA experience (LTC required)
- Previous travel experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted

CNA Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ambulation, transfers, turning & repositioning
- Bathing, grooming, oral care, incontinence care
- Skin care and pressure injury prevention
- Vital signs (BP, pulse, respirations, temperature, glucose testing)
- Infection control & PPE compliance
- Report changes in patient condition
- Provide care across young adult, adult, and geriatric populations
Housing & Transportation (Provided)
- Housing:
- Furnished 1-bedroom apartment
- Available 72 hours before start and up to 24 hours after contract end
- No pets allowed
- Cleaning required at move-out (fees apply if not cleaned)
- Furnished 1-bedroom apartment
- Vehicle:
- Company-owned shared vehicle provided
- For local use only (within 30-mile radius)
- Valid driver’s license and insurance required
- Tire chains available at additional cost
- Travelers who accept facility-provided housing or vehicle are not eligible for stipends.

Compliance & Additional Notes
- Must be willing to work holidays
- Travelers must work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year
- RTO must be submitted upfront; little to no RTO approved
- Minimum 2 supervisory references (6 months CNA experience within last 3 years)
- Travelers may float within scope or to nearby affiliate facilities
- Maximum of 1 calendar year at facility, followed by a 6-month break
