About the Role
Description
Animal Eye Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for its busy, fast paced ophthalmology practice located in Orange Park. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Must have a record of longevity in and commitment to veterinary medicine with a minimum of 3 years' work consecutive experience
- Must possess good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision
- Must be efficient with anesthesia, venipuncture and IV catheters
- Experience in performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests is a HUGE plus!
- Qualified candidates must be available for some evenings/weekends/holidays for rotating on call duties
Education and Physical Requirements:
- Dependable attendance is required
- Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions
- The ability to walk, bend, stand, squat, or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be confident in handling and restraining animals during exams and procedures
Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist doctors in exams and surgery
- Educate clients
- Perform blood draws and placement of catheters
- Record inpatient files accurately
- Monitor patients under anesthesia
- Participate in daily cleanliness of our clinics
