Finance Manager

Role Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for driving financial planning and analysis, overseeing cost accounting, and maintaining strong internal controls to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making. This role partners closely with operations and leadership to improve financial performance, manage risk, and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results versus budget and forecast
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and capital investments
• Provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership through dashboards and presentations

Cost Accounting & Operational Finance

• Oversee cost accounting processes, variance analysis, and margin analysis
• Partner with operations to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting
• Support continuous improvement initiatives with financial analysis and KPI tracking

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and applicable regulations
• Lead or support internal and external audits, including documentation and remediation of findings
• Continuously assess and improve financial processes to reduce risk and increase efficiency

Financial Reporting & Leadership

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience, with strong exposure to FP&A and cost accounting
• Solid understanding of internal controls and financial reporting processes
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and financial planning systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills

Preferred

• CPA, CMA, or MBA
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or cost-intensive environments
