About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for Part Time Kitchen Hand. Join our team and play a key role in being part of something truly special as we manage the delivery of support services critical to maintaining the integrity of the hospital's operations including food, cleaning, security and maintenance. Reporting to the Chef in charge, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

 

  • Cleaning crockery, cutlery, trolleys, Kitchen utensils & equipment. 

  • Emptying and replacing rubbish bags. 

  • Picking up patient trays using the allocated trolleys on wards and lounges.

  • Assist Chefs with tasks in the kitchen

What You’ll Bring (experience required)

  • Minimum 1 year experience, similar role in a professional commercial kitchen

  • Experience in a healthcare environment such as Hospitals or Aged Care is preferred but not essential

  • Worked within HACCP certified environment is preferred

  • High standard of personal presentation and strong communication skills

  • Team player
