Our engineers will visit your site, observe your manufacturing processes and prepare a 3-D conceptual design of the equipment or system to meet your requirements. We employ the latest technology in design and manufacturing processes including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia, and Robot Simulation software as well as CNC manufacturing equipment in our plant.
Our skilled technicians perform on-site inspections, repairs, modernizations and rebuilds on any overhead crane or hoisting equipment. We can also rebuild your crane parts and components in our Rebuild Program at a fraction of the cost of new. We always deliver outstanding service, regardless of make or model
In addition, DESHAZO has the ability to analyze the financial benefits of a prospective automation project in your facility. Working with your personnel, we can assist in calculations on the projected improvement in productivity, quality and operating cost, as well as the return on investment of an automation project.
About the Role
Description
Position: Service Technician III
Location: Brimingham, AL
The Service Technician II will travel to customer production facilities to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electric overhead bridge cranes and related material handling equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years of crane service technician experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting all electrical controls related to overhead cranes – AC, DC, static step-less, and variable frequency drives
- Proficient in troubleshooting all mechanical components of an overhead crane
- Proficient in the ability to read and understand prints and drawings
- Shows the ability to perform runway surveys
- Shows the ability to perform structural upgrade, re-span of crane, runway repairs, etc.
- Shows the leadership required to manage projects with multiple technicians performing several different tasks
- Ability to work extended hours, and on holidays, as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
- Lift /Carry up to 80 pounds unassisted.
- Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
- Ability to push/pull up to 300 pounds.
- Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
- Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
- Possess the ability to hear.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Subject to working frequently at considerable heights.
- Exposure to hot and cold conditions.
