The Diesel Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles and plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations at the Al Quoz plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel vehicles and heavy equipment (trucks, loaders, generators, forklifts, etc.).

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.

• Repair or replace defective components including engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.

• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment comply with safety and operational standards.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and service reports.

• Identify potential issues early and recommend corrective or preventive actions.

• Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.

• Comply with company HSE policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Coordinate with supervisors and plant operations to minimize equipment downtime.

• Support breakdown repairs and emergency maintenance as required.

• ITI / Diploma in Diesel Mechanics or Automotive Engineering (mandatory).

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a plant, construction, or industrial environment.

• Hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy vehicles.

• UAE experience is preferred.

• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Good understanding of diesel engine systems and heavy equipment maintenance.

• Ability to read technical manuals and service diagrams.

• Time management and ability to work under pressure.

• Basic communication skills in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).

• Team-oriented with a strong safety mindset.
