About the Role
Description
This is a full-time, direct placement role at Resource Consulting Engineers, LLC.
Resource Consulting Engineers, LLC is a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm, primarily focused on services related to building analysis, design, and construction administration services. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing and/or overseeing all aspects of electrical systems design for our projects. Future oversight of other electrical engineering personnel is also likely. The ideal candidate is expected to take a leadership role within the firm, and will work directly with clients, performing both technical engineering and project management roles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and analysis of electrical power distribution systems
- Design and analysis of lighting systems
- Design and analysis of low-voltage systems (fire alarm, communications, security, public address, etc.)
- Complete calculations related to electrical systems
- Use of electrical systems design software
- Production of electrical drawings and specifications
- Review of submittals from contractors
- Response to contractor questions

Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa
- Minimum of five years' experience designing electrical systems for buildings
- Experience with design of power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
- Experience with design software packages (AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software)
- Ability to work effectively with other team members and clients
