Shift: Part-time, TEMPORARY - to last up to 100 days

The dishwasher is responsible for operating the dish machine and hand washing dishes if required. Responsible for all patient dishes, production pots and pan, and cafeteria dishes and pot and pans. Dispose of trash and recycling in the appropriate containers out by the dock. Assist in putting dishes away in the appropriate spots and cleaning the dish room which includes the floor, pot and pan sink and the dish machine.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads the dish machine and strips the tray carts that are collected from the units in order to keep dishes ready for tray line.
  • Requires some heavy lifting of trash bags to put them into the cart and to dispose of them in the compactor outside at the receiving dock. Pushing and pulling of carts throughout the day.
  • Balances time between washing dishes in the pot and pan sink, stripping carts, running the dish machine, and taking out the trash and cardboard.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance

Qualifications

  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Lift heavy objects and be able to work independently
  • Able to utilize the dish machine and change the chemical for the dish machine and pot and pan sink.
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Some dish room experience preferred
