About the Role

[What the role is]

Assistant Manager, Land Management (Environmental Team)

You will be part of the team that develops and sets soil management policies in Singapore, as well as administering and managing environmental projects

[What you will be working on]

  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of environmental projects, including soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects, making a tangible impact on the environment and the community

  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of environmental quality standards for Singapore, ensuring that our land is safe for future generations

  • Review and implement land policies and frameworks, shaping the future of land management in Singapore

  • Develop and maintain a database of environmental quality data, providing critical information for land planning, maintenance, and regulation purposes

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and policies

  • Prepare tender documents and manage the procurement process for consultants and contractors, ensuring that we work with the best partners to achieve our goals

  • Manage project finances, including budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring that we make the most of our resources


 

[What we are looking for]

  • Background in Environment Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent or other related quantitative discipline

  • Must be able to operate independently, but at the same time be a team player and effectively work with teams

  • Positive attitude with strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Experience in soil and groundwater assessment or/and remediation related work

  • Having project management experience will be an advantage in this role
