About the Role
Description
Summary/Objective: To carry out repairs to various Hydrovac trucks according to manufacturer's procedures in a safe, responsible, and timely manner. Our fleet includes semi-trucks and half-ton trucks. Semi-truck experience required, Hydrovac experience preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Correctly interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Correctly troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures.
- Complies with all DOT, MSA, and OSHA regulations.
- Use instructions to ensure complete service documentation.
- Notifies and/or coordinates additional repairs with the Fleet Manager.
- Train and assist other technicians, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements & Preferences:
- Must pass a pre-employment physical.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in heavy-duty construction, Hydrovac, Vacuum Truck equipment and Fleet repair experience preferred.
- Must have an approved MVR to drive a company vehicle - Class A or Class B preferred but not required (Must be able to attain a CDL)

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Must possess and exhibit a strong safety acumen
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated to produce quality work under tight deadlines in a safe and professional manner
- Must be comfortable with computers and have knowledge of computer-based maintenance programs
- Must provide own hand tools
- Must be able to work 10 - 12+ hour days including some weekends when needed
- Willingness to learn and use emerging technology
Work Environment (temperature, noise level, inside/outside):
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions and noisy environments
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
