About the Role
<p data-path-to-node="2">Join us in modernizing how the federal government interacts with citizens and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will lead the design of secure, scalable web portals that serve a key cabinet-level agency, ensuring vital digital services are intuitive, accessible, and integrated seamlessly with critical agency data.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="3">What You Will Achieve</h3><ul><li data-path-to-node="4,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Design &amp; Build:</strong> You will architect and build robust external-facing and internal Power Pages sites, transforming complex business requirements into user-friendly, responsive digital experiences.</li><li data-path-to-node="4,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Seamless Integration:</strong> You will engineer efficient data flows by integrating Power Pages with Dataverse, Power Automate, SQL, and other agency systems to ensure real-time accuracy and process automation.</li><li data-path-to-node="4,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Quality &amp; Compliance:</strong> You will champion accessibility and security, ensuring all solutions meet strict federal standards (including WCAG and security controls) through rigorous testing and review.</li><li data-path-to-node="4,3,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Lifecycle Leadership:</strong> You will drive the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from analyzing user journeys and agile planning to release management and maintaining technical governance documentation.</li></ul><h3 data-path-to-node="5">Must-Have Skills (Required)</h3><ul><li data-path-to-node="6,0,0">U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.</li><li data-path-to-node="6,1,0">Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university</li><li data-path-to-node="6,1,0">8+ years of front-end or web development experience, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to the Microsoft Power Platform (specifically Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse)</li><li data-path-to-node="6,2,0">Experience implementing and managing row-level security within Microsoft Dataverse</li><li data-path-to-node="6,2,0">Demonstrated expertise in designing, configuring, and deploying secure, responsive web portals within an enterprise environment</li><li data-path-to-node="6,3,0">Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience managing software release pipelines</li></ul><h3 data-path-to-node="7">Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)</h3><ul><li data-path-to-node="8,0,0">Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-200, PL-400, or PL-600)</li><li data-path-to-node="8,1,0">Deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design best practices</li><li data-path-to-node="8,2,0">Familiarity with DevOps/ALM practices (Application Lifecycle Management) within the Power Platform ecosystem</li><li data-path-to-node="8,2,0">Familiarity with Powre BI for building dashboards and reports</li><li data-path-to-node="8,3,0">Prior experience delivering technical solutions within a federal agency or regulated environment</li></ul><p><em>To ensure you&rsquo;ve reviewed the full technical requirements for this role, please include the word "Ascella" as the very first word in your response to the 'Why are you a good fit?' question on the application.</em></p><h3>Our Culture: What Makes Ascella Employees Great</h3><div><ul><li data-path-to-node="10">At Ascella, we celebrate <strong data-path-to-node="10" data-index-in-node="25">innovative thinkers</strong> who are empowered to share their ideas and tackle real business challenges.
