IT Field Service Engineer


America’s Auto Auction Group, a leading nationwide vehicle auction and remarketing company, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused IT Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. With locations across 20 states and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence, we are looking for an individual who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about supporting technology infrastructure in a fast-paced industry.


Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as escalation point for infrastructure issues

- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco/Meraki networking gear, wireless, IBMi servers, and auction-specific infrastructure.

- Perform network cutovers, hardware swaps, and system validations with minimal downtime.

- Conduct preventivemaintenance to keep sites operational and avoid sale-day disruptions

- Travel to auction locations across the U.S. to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network and IT equipment

- Provide on-site technical support to ensure seamless auction operations

- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on hardware and software systems

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues efficiently

- Document all work via tickets using Jira Service Management . Maintain accurate records of site configurations and repairs

- Assist in the implementation of new technology solutions to improve operational efficiency



Requirements

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical certifications and equivalent hands-on experience.

• IT support or field service roles with proven troubleshooting skills (Tier 3 level preferred).

• Experience with:

o Cisco/Meraki routers, switches, wireless, and VLANs

o Windows Server environments

• Familiarity with IBMi auction platform servers is a plus (onboarding will include exposure to platform operations).

• Experience with Mobile Device Management a plus.

• Comfortable traveling frequently (25%–50%) to multiple locations, sometimes on short notice.
