Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.


Position Overview 

The Inspection Supervisor leads the inspection quality teams (Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection), ensuring flight hardware and components meet stringent standards like AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA/EASA regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing CMM/precision inspections, performing First Article Inspections (FAI), managing staff performance, and driving continuous improvement (Kaizen) to ensure product conformity. 


What You’ll Do

  • Supervise inspectors, managing scheduling, timeclocks, training, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA/EASA regulations, conducting or approving AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Act as the subject matter expert for precision metrology tools (CMM, Keyence) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Manage non-conformance, root cause investigation, and corrective actions (RCCA).
  • Maintain 5S standards in the inspection area, facilitate cross-functional communication between engineering/production, and ensure safety compliance. 


Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years of experience in aerospace quality inspection, often requiring previous supervisory or lead experience.
  • Deep knowledge of drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and possibly FAA A&P licenses depending on the role.
  • Experience with QMS software and MS Office. 
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment.
