About the Role

Description

We are seeking Core Makers to join our 9:00 to 5:30 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for proper and safe production of cores a timely and efficient manner. Coremakers will utilize work instructions, follow procedures to install chills, locators, vents, risers, pack with sand, season and turn out product

Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate of workmanship, quality, efficiency by using two core boxes in rotation at your workstation.

- Ensure everything is done and ready to comply with daily schedule; Maintain proper inventory of all items

- Understand and be able to assemble materials such as chills, locators, etc. Understand types of sand, chemicals, binders, proper storage

- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards

- Demonstrate safe operation of hoists and carts used in core making processes

- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Put away all patterns & boxes used during a job.

- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines


$20.00 and up plus 20% Shift Differential

Requirements

Requirements:

- Previous experience in assembly or a related field preferred

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

- Familiarity with hand and power tools

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Good communication skills

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
