About the Role

Description

Works under the supervision of the Medical Director to evaluate, diagnose, and provide medical management for clients with co-occurring disorders, including the treatment of substance use concerns.

Requirements

  • Licensed with two years of experience with ambulatory detoxification and/or chemically supported treatment and currently licensed in Connecticut.
  • Experience with Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
  • Must be able to work effectively across cultures and demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of Latino and African American communities.
  • Provides psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring and psychiatric consultation.
  • Collects and organizes information related to individual client, family, medical, substance use and mental health history, and onset/severity of symptoms obtained from client, family members, and other pertinent treatment providers.
  • Provides medication education for individual clients, staff, and families as necessary.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing consultation for clinical staff.
  • Completes clinical and medical documentation for individual client records.
  • Must have excellent communication both verbal and written.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
