At Positive Change Counseling Center, our talented clinicians offer individual, couples and family therapy for all ages. In addition, we also offer group therapy and educational classes. Each one of our highly skilled clinicians offers their own unique perspective and therapeutic framework to provide excellent mental health services for our community members in San Diego County, Ventura and surrounding areas. Our group practice is made up of individually contracted Licensed Mental Health Professionals. We contract with Licensed Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors to offer our clients a wide range of clinical specialties and experience. We pride ourselves on offering great and affordable care in our community. It is our hope that we can connect with everyone who contacts Positive Change Counseling Center. This may mean scheduling an appointment, providing a referral or just offering some support and reassurance that they are taking the right step by making this call. Our Office Associates are courteous and professional and work hard to make everyone’s job a bit easier as they offer treatment and support to the clients of Positive Change Counseling Center. Positive Change Counseling Center was founded in 2006, when Owner Jennifer Lundy-Aguerre was newly licensed. Originally the group was based in Mission Valley and moved to La Mesa in late 2007. In 2011, Ms. Lundy-Aguerre hired her first contract therapist to also see clients in the practice. Over the past several years our team of excellent mental health professionals has continued to grow, currently at 16 Licensed Clinicians. In the spring of 2017, our office space expanded. We now have six clinician offices for treating clients in two unique and comfortable suites. Our amazing administrative team also now has their own space for greeting clients and to keep our practice running smoothly.
