CMNT/Cyber/Cloud Lab Assistant
Overview:
Helps students in Computer Maintenance/Cyber/Cloud classes develop the learning, study and problem-solving skills to prepare for homework and tests, complete lab assignments, and have success in their coursework.
The salary rate for this position is $15.00 per hour. This is a part-time position, with a maximum of 19 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- 60% Provides group instruction and one-on-one tutoring; communicates and explains familiar and new concepts to students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of IT skills.
- 30% Setup and maintain lab equipment.
- 5% Keeps the lab clean and organized.
- 5% Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

2. Maintains an effective working relationship with students; serves as a positive role model.
3. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
4. Promotes the educational values of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the computer lab.
5. Maintains the confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
6. Complies with all laws and regulations related to higher education.

Qualifications:
- At least one year of computer maintenance/Cyber class experience.
- Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (students, visitors, or vendors) providing information and assistance.
- Must exhibit patience and encouragement when working with students.
This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check plus three professional references.
