Digitalisation & Automation Intern for Production Environment

Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
Vehicle Supply Chain (VSC) is responsible for the transportation (whether by vessel, rail or truck) of Toyota and Lexus vehicles from our Overseas – and Local Plants, to ports of export, inland compounds and/or retailers in Europe. The Vehicle Supply Chain seeks to challenge ‘Plant-to-Retailer’ lead-time, improve delivery performance and reduce cost through the application of Toyota Production System.
As part of vehicle logistics, ‘Transport & Workshop Quality Engineering team’ we are responsible for the best level of delivery and accessory fitting, located across Europe.
Our objective is to:
• Ensure on time delivery to the customer to the correct quality standard.
• Design the assembly process that should be applied in all Workshops
• Implement the process through provision of Equipment & Training
Your project
As Vehicle Supply Chain, we are going through an automation/digitalization phase, and it will be one of our focus points in the upcoming years. You will be directly working with the team manager to transform processes and tools by
Your Profile
We are looking for an engineering or and related programme’s student who can bring fresh ideas to our team with
- An interest in programming and business intelligence
- An interest in manufacturing operations and Toyota methodologies (TPS, FMDS, Kaizen…)
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- A familiarity with MS Office, MS Share point, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI
- Curiosity to learn new ways of working
- High teamwork spirit
- Being able to travel within EU

- Belgium - Brussels (Evere): Toyota Motor Europe, Head Office (With flexibility to travel Hubs across Europe if necessary).
Starting date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
