Job Summary: 

The Logistics Specialist is the main responsible coordinator for Inbound/Outbound shipments for United Imaging Healthcare. He/she is the liaison between the internal cross functional departments at UIH and the external logistics vendors, suppliers, customer, and government entities. The position reports to the Logistics Manager.


 Duties & Responsibilities    

  • Drive planning and route logistics schedules per contract due date, cargo ready date, materials lead time.
  • Work with freight forwarders for international ocean/air import, export activities.
  • Work with customs broker for import/export customs clearance.
  • Track and monitor shipments, analyze shipments for logistics performance rating and optimization.
  • Ensure import/export activities are properly documented required by CBP for documents retention and make sure all documents are audited/reviewed.
  • Coordinate and provide instruction between oversea departments for logistics consolidation.
  • Check and assure entries are compliance    with Imports/Exports regulations and government agency’s requirement.
  • Coordinate domestic transportation between customers, suppliers, departments and shipping companies.
  • Assure effective planning for cost-effective goal. 
  • Create invoice/PL and bill to customers, review and pay billing invoices.

Requirements

 Education

  • A college degree is required

Experience

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with an awareness of deadlines and responsiveness. 
  • Knowledge of transportation industry regulations, Imports/Export regulations 

Required Skills or/ Attributes 

  • Ability to work with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • PC literate with MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong sense of urgency and due time
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with an awareness of deadlines and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and strong attention to details
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Medical device background is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus

 

Working Conditions: 

Magnetic Environment Exposure:

This position requires working in an environment where strong magnetic fields may be present. Employees may be exposed to powerful magnets, electromagnetic equipment, or other devices that generate magnetic fields.

Due to the nature of the magnetic environment, employees must not wear or carry ferrous metals on their person while in the designated work area. This includes, but is not limited to, metal objects such as steel, iron, and other ferrous materials. Additionally, employees with implants, medical devices, or foreign objects containing ferrous metals within their body (e.g., certain surgical implants, pacemakers, or metal pins) may be at risk and must disclose any such conditions to their supervisor prior to starting work.
