CHCA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice in Sacramento in a part-time role working 1-3 full days per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in routine and emergency dental procedures and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care to all. This role involves diagnosing and treating oral health issues, performing dental procedures, and educating patients on maintaining optimal oral hygiene. The Dentist will work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums to diagnose dental conditions.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, crown and bridge construction and minor oral surgeries.
- Initiate and interpret x-ray and lab studies.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols within the dental clinic.

Requirements
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry
- 2 years experience, preferably in community clinic
- FQHC experience preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge and success in effecting overall clinical operations.
- Experience/Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation process and requirements, as well as all federal, state and local regulations and standards associated with the delivery of care in a community health center environment.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and emergency situations successfully
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism.
