Surgical Technologist II – Operating Room

Heartline Staffing is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for an Operating Room environment supporting a wide range of surgical procedures. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical setting while collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative care team.

The Surgical Technologist participates in the delivery of individualized perioperative care by preparing the operating room, establishing and maintaining sterile fields, safely passing instruments, and participating in surgical counts. This role supports patient safety initiatives, adheres to regulatory standards, and assists with procedures for patients of all ages while maintaining high professional and technical standards.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts

Day, evening, or night schedules

On-call responsibilities included

Typical shift hours: 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Compensation:

Hourly pay ranges from $23.97 to $35.96 based on experience.

Sign-on bonus of $6,000 paid over a two-year period.

Requirements

Education:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program or approved military surgical technology training

Licensure and Certification:

- Active certification as a Surgical Technologist required

- Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professions

- AHA BLS-HCP certification required

Other Qualifications:

- Ability to establish and maintain a sterile surgical environment

- Satisfactory completion of structured orientation and competency requirements
